Born in Moscow, Evgeni Dokoukine began his classical ballet training\u00a0at age nine with teacher Yuri Vrazhkin. In 2003, he attended Canada\u2019s\u00a0National Ballet School and then in 2005, the School of Canadian Ballet\u00a0Theatre under Artistic Director Nadia Veselova-Tencer. Evgeni has\u00a0performed with Canadian Ballet Theatre,\u00a0Ballet Espressivo, Israel National Ballet Louisville Ballet, Ballet Du Capitole Toulouse, France, and Estonian National Ballet.<\/p>\n
His classical\u00a0repertoire contains numerous Principal and Soloist roles including James in La Sylphide, \u00a0Prince Seigfried and Pas de Trois in Swan Lake, Pas de trois in Oleg Vinogradov’s Paquita,\u00a0Prince Desire in The Sleeping Beauty, Pas de Trois and Russian Trepak in\u00a0The Nutcracker, Golden Idol in La Bayadere and Basil in Don Quixote,and leading Role in Gyula Harangoza’s Snow White. Evgeni\u00a0has also performed works by various contemporary choreographers\u00a0including: Gianluca Schiavoni, Roland Petit,Kader Belarbi, Stijn Celin, Maguy Marin, Val Caniparoli, Marina Kesler, Adam Hougland and Vladimir Ivanov.<\/p>\n
In 2009, Evgeni was the silver medal winner in the Pas de Deux category at the Youth American Grand Prix Finals in New York. The same year he also performed in the Young Medalists Ballet Gala at the Miami International Ballet Festival.\u00a0 In 2016 and 2017 \u00a0performed as a guest artist with Les Petits Ballet in Ottawa Canada.<\/p>\n
